Economy Problems and Its Impact on Americans

The economy in America is just dreadful with the unemployment rate being at high as 9.0% in Georgia alone, the job rate is by far the lowest because companies have outsourced many of their jobs and make it hard for people to find jobs. Now a days people are told to go to college and that by getting an education they have a higher chance of finding a job but the reality is that lots of college graduates cannot land their dream job and what was once promised to them is just a promised land full of debt. The loan companies and credit card companies are getting rich because of the down economy and because more and more students are taking out loans to fund their education. There are several articles that claim do not take out more than what you will gain the first year and to some extent that is true but when you cannot find a job and you only took out the minimum where is the remorse.

Where is the help for those many of Americans who do want to work in this country? I believe this country is built to suppress the poor and build up the poor and I support this opinion by simply stating that if more jobs were created to help ease the jail system and make it harder for people to go to jail and end up homeless this country would be more productive. The country feeds on money and without jobs then how will the country survive. My solution is to develop jobs for people who have been to jail on misdemeanor offenses and have forgiveness programs. This country focuses too much on whether someone has been to jail or prison when in fact most people end up committing crimes is because they do not have money and are trying to survive. Now I am not saying people should hire murders but for simply crimes such as shoplifting and especially if the crime has been committed in the past then the person should be given a second chance. Most crimes are committed before a person has the chance to fully develop their brains. Studies show that the brain does not fully develop until age 21 and that is why the legal drinking age is 21. So if a crime is committed before that age the person cannot be forever shunned by society. I think in everyone's case there is a reason they have done things and the same people who do the hiring may not be so squeaky clean.

Does crime rate correlate with jobs? Some may say no and some may say not at all. Well the truth is that crime rate is correlated with the lack of jobs and most of the crimes committed are to help people make ends meet. This country was built on the back of others and is still progressing in the same way by making the poor stay poor and not allowing them to advance in this country. Most jobs that require a college degree are mostly common sense jobs and even these jobs do not hire those with college degrees. The companies most often hire from within or they hire from someone they know. Networking is not so easy when you are limited resources and are not born with a silver spoon in your mouth. The problem is that most jobs in this country are created to keep people struggling and never reach actual financial freedom. So many people become caught in the system whether through criminal offenses or caught in the system by welfare. Welfare was created to help supplement the poor and has taken a whole new outlook and has supported generations of families.
