Budget Friendly Carpet Cleaning Solutions
1. In a large bowl pour 1 cup of white distilled vinegar. Add 3 or 4 drops of dishwashing detergent. Add ½ cup warm water. Use a whisk to create a froth on top of the liquid. Use a soft bristled scrub brush and dip the brush into the bowl so that you can pick up some of the froth on the bristles. Try to get as little water as possible so that you do not saturate your carpet. Take the froth on the scrub brush and apply it to the area that is stained on the carpet. You will use a white towel to blot the excess liquid up after you are finished scrubbing. Blot the area dry and if you still see any of the stain repeat the first steps. Continue until the stain is lifted out of the carpeting.
2. In a mop bucket place ¼ cup of baking soda. Add 1 gallon of warm water to the bucket. Add ¼ cup of hydrogen peroxide to the bucket. Mix well. Use a sponge mop to apply the concentration to your carpet. Before you apply this cleaner make certain that you have vacuumed up all of the loose debris on the floor. Once you have mopped the entire carpet you will want to try and not walk across it until it is completely dry. Walking on wet carpeting can cause the fibers to be compressed. Once the carpet is dry vacuum it again to lift and separate the fibers of the rug.
Carpet cleaning on a budget will require a little more elbow grease, but the results are clean floors at a fraction of the cost. You can get more information from carpet cleaning Indianapolis.
